Beginning in 1916, 17 silent movies were filmed in the area. There have been over 40 movies with sound filmed here, as well as the famous TV series, "Murder She Wrote" and other TV programs and commercials. Hill House Inn, known as Cabot Cove Inn in the series, is featured prominently throughout "Murder She Wrote".
